The program was scheduled for 10am prompt. Saturday 10
August 3013. Our representatives arrived at the event at about 9:50 am. The
host of the event and his co- organizers were already present. The program did
not start even after two hours of arrival. It is not in our nature to speculate
or assume why something ought to happen. But when we asked the organizers, they
said "It is well"
The First keynote
speaker was Mr. Ani Ikechukwu. He welcomed the guest and participants. He also
added that T.C.C was inspired God to the Host: Pastor Uwalaka Moses on his sick
bed. T.C.C means TEA CUP CONFERENCE. "To be used when the need
arise". T.C.C was also born from Refined Word Outreach Ministry
International.
T.C.C AND R.W.O.M.I give insights to career, business, goals
and relationship. They also conduct from time to time Workshops, Training and
Seminars. T.C.C is a platform to bring speakers from all works of life to teach
people. He urged people to play a part for T.C.C to become a success..... T.C.C
is a Kirikiri town initiative.
The second keynote speaker was Geraldine Nneoma Ariolu
(C.E.O Neolu limited and deals on her own brand; Noni Hair).
She is an Entrepreneur. She spoke on the topic THE EXTRA.
She encouraged participants with her motivational words and her personal life
testimony.
What is the extra? Seeking God first (Righteousness),
Attitude towards God and man (Exhibit the attitude of gratitude), Uniqueness
(Discourage self-limitation), Be a risk taker (Embrace new things for
achievement), Change (Work on your mind set), Keep the right company (Good
friends), Avoid distractions and Hunger for the things of God(Pray).
Are you ready to step to the next level?, what extra effort
have you added to move to the next level? It is your choice to move to the next
level.
The third keynote speaker was Mr Omosogie Martins (C.E.O and
an Entrepreneur).
He made several references to his life as a student of University
of Benin and how he wanted to be a first class student. Vision was his watch
word. He discharged words to encourage participants to hear from God and have a
vision. He added that vision is greater than site, vision dictates your
attitude, until there is a vision you are bound to misbehave, if you have a
destination, you don’t need supervision. He also talked about his revelation of
patience; it is long cut that brings about shortcut, have the attitude of
patience. Omosogie also threw an important question to participants. What do
you want to be in the next five years?"
Question and Answer session which was much awaited for has
finally arrived. Participants were in a hurry to ask questions because the flow
of knowledge was pounding in their heads and simulated in their minds. A panel
was set up in order to answer all questions.
Question; did your challenges make you an entrepreneur there
by making you leave you current job?
Answer; No, sometimes you have to go through the wilderness
of lack in order to strengthen your spirit man. I already had the idea even
before working for someone.
Question; as an IT consultant how do you get patronage if
you create software’s that could last for years?
Answer; As an IT Company we give solutions. We build software
for you with knowledge of the next problem you will encounter.
Question; how is this seminar applicable to the youth of
Kirikiri town and what is your advice to them?
Answer; The mentality of Kirikiri town youths is: leave me
let me live my life. Nonchalant attitude, living a high life and most of all
being money conscious. Whether you like it or not you must develop the right
attitude. The world we are looking at is wider and broader. Try to check out
for one another and tell them the right direction, tell them the truth. Stop
disobedience.
‘‘Anyone who wants to succeed must start from the heart of
God''.
From all observations the program was a success and it is
the talk that fills the mouth of youths in Kirikiri town who were present for
the Maiden Edition of: NURTURING THE ATTITUDE TO SUCCEED.(Business and
Relationship Seminar).
There is great hope for the youths of Kirikiri town as we all
have decided to rise up and move forth for development proclamation.
