Hon Akeem Bello received his certificate of return from
Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) two days ago at the Lagos INEC head
office in Yaba after being elected under the platform PDP. He won his counterpart of APC by a whooping
margin.
During the movement, he stopped by the PDP Secretariat to meet
with the regional head before heading to the INEC office to collect the
certificate. Desmond Elliot an ace actor/producer in the Nollywood film
industry was also elected under the platform of APC to represent Surulere Constituency
in the Lagos State House of Representatives was present to collect his
certificate of return. He was there with his family and friends.
Hon. Akeem Bello was filled with ecstasy that couldn’t be
comprehended as this is his first time to ever win an election and also to be
in the Lagos State House of Representatives after contesting for councillorship
position three times.
Hon. Akeem represents Amuwo Odofin LGA Constituency II which
consists of Kirikiri town, Beach land Estate, Navy town, Satellite town and
others has said that he will work hard in the house to see that he will deliver
his mandate even if he knows that he is in the minority among others in the
house.
APC candidates whom Desmond Eliot happens to fall under,
maintains the majority in the Lagos State House of Representatives.
“I am happy and I thank you all for your support. The
Kirikiri town community (CDA YOUTH, ELDERS, KIRIKIRI NEWS, PDP, and others who
voted for me), I will continue to represent Kirikiri town and other areas in my
constituency properly to ensure that they get their adequate dividend of
democracy. I thank everyone including my family for the support.” Hon. Akeem
spoke to Kirikiri News.
