The
legendary King Midas in Greek mythology had extraordinary gift of turning everything
he touched into gold. The Midas touch is referred is a figurative expression which
refers to the gift or ability of profiting from whatever one
undertakes. The character in our meditation this morning could be
described as a boy with the Midas touch. Young Joseph brought good fortunes and favor to the house of Potiphar. Goodness and mercy followed him and extended to those around him. While his peers were wasteful and extravagant, Joseph was resourceful and creative. While his mates incurred losses and damage for their master, Joseph brought profit and prosperity.

How
do you stand? Are you a blessing or a curse to your parents? Do you contribute
meaningfully to the growth of your school, fellowship and church or do you
bring defeat and disgrace? King Midas received his extraordinary gift from the
god Silenus, but Joseph received his talents from the God of heaven. If you
give your life to Christ today and submit to His Lordship, you can have the Midas
touch.
