JULIANA HOTEL BREAKS KEY

Juliana hotel is well known within and outside Lagos state and it is the biggest hotel in Kirikiri town.

Last week it was closed down by the Lagos State Government for the simple reason that the management defaulted in payment of the land use charge bill. As long as you

operate or use a building in the state, the land use charge is applicable and must be paid.

However, the management of Juliana Inter Hotel has opened their main gate which was shut although the pedestrian gate of the premises has been open all the while. The government’s closure did not stop Regular business activities of lodging, accommodation, bar and sexual services, they still functioned properly only that the cars of fun seekers were parked on Johnson street and close. It caused traffic.

Loud noises were heard from the premises like that of an incessant little explosion which happened to be in sequence. It was later found out that the loud bangs were the sound of the hammer used in breaking the key. The staffs broke the key used in locking the gate.

No one questioned their authority. Did they actually offset their bill? It was stated that only an official could open the gate after payment has been made. Did the land use charge officials lose the key?

“We have paid” said the management spokesman. But why did you break the key? He was asked, “The officials were not coming and there is no time, I have lost so much in the past week”.

Those who patronize Juliana hotel, sing for joy because the gate of unending fun and pleasure has been re-opened once again.
