RESIDENTS, COUNCILOR LASHES BOVAS OIL OVER BOKO HARAM THREAT

Residents of Kirikiri town and the Councilor, Ward D, Oriade Local Government Development Council Area, Hon. Abari Ajibola Ibrahim have literally thumped Bovas Oil management over their security laxities concerning yesterday’s Boko
haram threat to the oil depots in kirikiri town. Recapping the countless atrocities perpetuated in the country by the Boko haram sect, residents expressed fear and shock as to why their location was chosen but notwithstanding, they did not fail to pour out their minds to the Oil Depot owners.
“I am afraid; this is not the way such a case should ne handled. I mean the depot owners should all come together and look into this threat notice seriously because if their tank farms are bombed, we all are finished.” Amah Onyinye said.

“I detest laxity in my life. I cannot imagine the Bovas Oil management and the Depot owners toying with this kind of sensitive and grave issue. How can they use the Community tax force to keep watch over the environment when we have three barracks and two police stations in Kirikiri town? The danger is too much and they are risking our lives. If Boko haram could abduct more than 200 school girls and for almost three months now, they haven’t been found, what then would it take them to strike all the tank farms. Do you think they will attack with motorbikes?
It is very clear that if they had informed the appropriate authorities concerning this threat received from Boko haram to bomb their tank farms, government would have responded swiftly as this is a national case but they don’t want the government to see or know what they have turned Kirikiri town into with their tank farms and tanker activities. Look, Techno oil has bought all the shore line at Magbesa Street in order to build tank farms. Imagine if they bomb the Kirikiri bridge, the river will definitely overflow and if those tank farms are bombed, ‘God forbid’ Kirikiri town will be reduced to just a mere desert” the Councilor said in a sad phone conversation with Kirikiri news.
However, several other residents expressed their remarks.
“God almighty will spoil their Bomb in Jesus name” Glory Eyo prayed.
“Come make una no use me play ooo this informants, how real is this gist because I am not cut out for stories. I need facts please” Chidi Mba said.
“My family is there, so nothing can happen because this one’s cannot die until they see the latter glory. So boko haram get your mind and bomb off that town…. Kirikiri town is for Christ.” Tosin Victoria Omoleye uttered.
There was a report in May when a policeman and Federal Road Safety personnel, on a motorbike, chased a dark young man who was in a black pathfinder SUV after stopping him at the police check point on the Kirikiri Bridge. He sped off when he was found out to be a member of the Islamic sect after his Identity card fell while trying to show his drivers license. The man however escaped through Shokumbi Street and was lost in the chase.
