The lent
period ended well with the only Catholic Church in Kirikiri town, St. Joseph Catholic
Church observing mass daily before the Good Friday. The Good Friday did not go
unnoticed also as the Catholic Youth of Nigeria (Kirikiri denary) depicted the
suffering and processes of death that Jesus Christ experienced. Their dramatic
display was contrariwise not as wonderfully acted like they did last year.
Many
residents didn’t travel to their home towns to celebrate the Easter season with
their friends and family. In
reverse they stayed back to observe the four days Easter holiday excitedly.
Apparently,
something unforeseen happened on the night that Jesus Christ was said to have
risen in Kirikiri town area of Lagos state, Nigeria.
The Bad
Boys Entertainment organized an Easter street jam to celebrate the resurrection
of Jesus Christ while the Good Boys Entertainment (White House Nation) also organized
an Easter street jam to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on almost opposite
streets and there was a significant clash.
Hmmmm…
Alright,
The Bad Boys Entertainment organized theirs in Agunbiade Street (Baale side)
with Deejay Small White busting the brains of the cheery, bright and breezy youths
present at the show. They all danced around-the-clock as the speakers banged. Several
music and dance artistes performed too. The
slogan for the event was ‘ITS ALL ABOUT EASTER, ITS ALL ABOUT BLESSING’. The event
ended when mama Ogbonna called his phone at 5:30 pm.

Hmmmm.
Ok. Still
on the matter, That same night when youths were in Agunbiade Street dancing Shoki
other amiable and happy-go-lucky youths were dancing Shoki in the presence and to
the glory of God at the Good Boys Entertainment (White House Nation’s )event
tagged ‘EASTER EDITION OF GOSPEL , MUSIC AND COMEDY LIKE NEVER BEFORE’. The
youths present were neatly and beautifully dressed in their customized T-shirts
which had an inscription ‘THE TRUE WORSHIPPERS’ inscribed on it. The event held
at Ikudehinbor Street. It is the second edition.

The head
of the organizing committee White House Nation, Sir Tee disclosed to Kirikiri News
that the event was targeted to further bring the lost people of Kirikiri town
closer to God.
‘This
event is focused on bringing the youths of Kirikiri town closer to God. I remember
that the first street jam in Kirikiri town was on this street (Ikudehinbor,
known as G-Cappa Street) and I was the organizer. As I grew older I realized that
there needs to be a turn-around after I turned to Christ. I and my team rewrote
history by organizing the first gospel street jam on this same street. I bless God”.
Sir Tee told Kirikiri News in his distinctive smile.

Ikudehinbor
Street and Agunbiade Street are almost at two opposite ends. A pedestrian who
walked ahead of us as we drove home after the event halted at the middle both streets
suddenly. When asked why, he said he could feel a strange force.
Nonetheless,
the Easter season did not come and go without being celebrated. The true
essence of the acknowledged yearly season is to celebrate with friends, family
and others the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We
look forward to celebrate next year’s Easter with a more enriched fried rice, sophisticated chicken , sweet-smelling sharwama,
and an uplifted soft drink that all our well-wishers served us this season.
