MEET NIGERIA´S NEW PRESIDENT-ELECT


Muhammadu Buhari wins 2O15 presidential election with 15.4 million votes while Goodluck Ebele Jonathan got 12.9 million votes.
Muhammadu Buhari is the President-elect of Nigeria and a retired Major     General in the Nigerian Army who was Head of State of Nigeria from 31   December 1983 to 27 August 1985, after taking power in a military
coup d'état.

Buhari has emerged the first president-elect ever to outsit a sitting president and an incumbent ruling party.

Buhari won the presidential seat after four times of contesting. He finally won under the platform of All Progressive Congress.

In his victory speech Buhari said that the votes was not for him or the party but for Nigeria. He also added that he wanted to be president for just one tenure. Other issues such as boko haram was pointed out.

Sitting president Goodluck Jonathan already congratulated Muhammadu Buhari on his polls victory saying he accepts defeat.
Buhari would be sworn into office come May 29th 2015.
