The
Depot management, Bovas Oil Kirikiri Depot has expressed fear and preventive
measures due to fresh threat sent out by the insurgent Islamic sect at midnight
to the company threatening to bomb their tank farms situated on the shores, at Mosheshe
industrial estate, Kirikiri town. lagos
This early
morning at about 5 am, directives from Bovas oil depots were given to the CDA3
Task force to barricade the road, search any incoming vehicle and stop all bike
operations 20 meters away from the tank farms.
“The
manager of Bovas assigned us to this duty this morning after he said that there
was an issued threat by Boko haram to bomb the Depots in Kirikiri town, so we
mobilized all our men to ensure that no bike (which is the major tool of
operation according to the threat) should come close to the depot.” A member of
the task force confirmed.
Although,
many of the depot workers arrived on bikes to meet the blockade but they had to
present their ID cards before the task force let them in. Considering the
sensitivity and cold-bloodedness of the Boko haram sect, The CDA task force are
not in any way armed for any unforeseen attack.
Kirikiri
news gathered that residents of the area go about their daily business freely but
the depot area where all the tank farms are located is scanty.
The police,
Navy and Army are invincible at the scene.
If the
Boko haram sect are as dangerous as we all know, why will the Bovas Oil Depot
management treat such threat with ample laxity or Could this be their way of giving back to the
society?
