Today, being a public
holiday to celebrate the festive season of Easter – the day Jesus Christ was
Crucified, killed and buried, A NEPA staff that was allegedly on a
my-chop-assignment to a resident’s house on Johnson close stabbed him with a
sharp unidentified electrical tool at his doorstep causing a deep cut on his
forehead.
The NEPA staff happened to
be outraged by the negotiation process and took out his sharp electrical tool
and stabbed the resident on his forehead in front of his wife and children.
There was blood all over the place. Some of the neighbors who were present at
the time of the argument beseeched the NEPA staff to be reasonable.
Kirikiri news gathered that
the wife was also injured in the process of saving her husband in the brawl.
The NEPA man ran out of the compound immediately and as he explained to people
on the street, they asked who the resident was and when they found out, the
NEPA man regretted why he told them. The police was called by a good citizen.
When the policemen turned
up the scene with their patrol van, they entreated the enraged street neighbors
which had already pounced on the NEPA staff to calm down.
It was speculated that the
NEPA man was also involved in a similar case at Akere street months ago. The
police men picked up the NEPA man and the blood stained resident and headed
straight for the police station for further investigations and treatment.
Johnson Street has now been
termed a disreputable street and has lost its leading place on the trending top
5 best streets in Kirikiri town.
With the constant poor
power supply of electricity even on a public holiday in Kirikiri town, NEPA aka
EKDCN ought to be nicer to the good citizens of Nigeria.
