As long as you make a promise, it must
hunt you till you actualize it especially when you make it in church. Special
prayers will be rendered towards that promise. In September, during the program
titled, ‘In His Presence’ organized by St. Joseph Chosen Church of
God, popular
Kirikiri brought up comedian, Bright Okporocha aka Basketmouth made a promise
to buy a new generator set for the church. The church was his family church
during the period he lived in Kirikiri town.
He fulfilled his promise when he
instructed the generator company (FG WILSON), to supply and install the 2000 kg
40KVA generator one month after. It however arrived in October and the church
has been enjoying it.
When he said it that day, everyone at
the program shouted for joy and laughed over it, they probably thought it was
one of his funny jokes.
The pastors and ministers of St. Joseph
Chosen Church of God expressed they joy towards Basket mouth’s openhandedness.
It was a jubilant scenario when the Generator set arrived and the members and
pastors showered prayers on him even in his absence. It was however; double
when he came to commission the generator.
Kudos to Victor Obioha and his team who
initiated the program that brought a blessing to his church. The organizers of
the event express their gratitude to God, and they appreciate Basketmouth’s magnanimousness.
Basketmouth was born and bought up in
Kirikiri town so he felt it necessary to do a thing like this in Kirikiri town;
for all those who might ask why he did it.
Nevertheless, Kirikiri town appreciates
your effort to fulfill your words. St. Joseph Chosen Church has upgraded.
Kirikiri town’s upgrade process is contagious.
