Biola Johnson crescent is located at the eastern part of Kirikiri
town. It shares a direct fence with the Nigerian Ports Authority which runs
through the back thereby making it a one way entrance and exit area.
He was once the commissioner for transport and also one time
commissioner for commerce and industry, all in Lagos state. Apesin estate is
located at the end Biola Johnson crescent and it covers about 1 acre of land.
The name Apesin was derived from a title conferred on him (Biola Johnson) by
the Oba of Lagos state, Oba Oyekan as the Apesin of Lagos.
Biola Johnson begins with an intersection on Johnson Street and
extends in an L shape manner until the end which happens to be Apesin estate.
This estate was built with bricks. There are about 4 groups of buildings and
one which is uncompleted but speculated to be used as a hall.
Biola Johnson recently gained its popularity for the reason that a
gymnasium is situated there. This outdoor gymnasium called St. Yoga Gymnasium
is one of the best in Kirikiri town and it brings people from within and
outside to train and exercise their healthy bodies. The Gymnasium also has a
trainer.
In February 2013, a fire incident which almost caused everyone in
Kirikiri to evacuate created a need to carve out a lane that links to Obollo crescent.
This link makes a connection from the waterside area to the inland area. This
link or lane is now known as Biola Johnson lane.
Biola Johnson crescent has links to Obollo crescent, Victor
Nwachukwu Street and Johnson Street. There used to be a link to Cardoso close
but was closed down in 2003. A school and a church is located on the street.
There are about 7 buildings on Biola Johnson crescent and an
estate which consists of 4 blocks and 18 flats. The horizontal section is 100
meters and the vertical section 50 meters for the L-shaped crescent.
About 200 people lives on Biola Johnson crescent and in Apesin
estate. There is no business outlet is located on Biola Johnson crescent.
