OMONILE ARGUES OVER NEW BUILDING

The term Omonile is a Yoruba word which means 'owner of area/ground'. Whenever a new building or structure is under construction, a programmed group of land task force men (Omonile) will definitely be found skulking around that particular vicinity to collect toll.
This building in question has a memoire, a memoire which leaves tears on some faces, one which made people forcefully relocate to anonymous destinations, a history that brings back awful over and done memories.

This building located on Cardoso Street used to be a decent structure made with bricks until it was ravaged by fire due to some electrical malfunction. This incident claimed a life so dear to the people of Kirikiri town.

Nevertheless, after 5 years, the building is being renovated. The programmed and ever ready land task forces (Omonile) were stumbled upon arguing moderately on vital matters tittle-tattle to be how much they will be paid.

It was however resolved as they got what they wanted. All efforts to speak to the landlord of the building proved abortive. Hopefully before the year runs out the building will become habitable and the ‘TO LET’ sign will be mounted therein.

Our motto remains…Upgrading Standards.
