ELECTION RESULTS IN KIRIKIRI TOWN (WARD D) - HON AKEEM BELLO WINS HOUSE OF REPS SEAT


In Kirikiri town (Ward D) in Oriade Local Government Council Development Area as well as Lagos state there was a low turnout of voters. Although Kirikiri town could boast of about 33,000 people who reside therein but less than 6000 people casted their votes today to choose their next governorship candidate between Akinwunmi Ambode of APC or Jimi Agbaje of PDP and other House Of Assembly candidates such as Hon. Akeem Bello.

There was concord in the voting process from accreditation to stamping thumbs on paper even during counting of the ballot paper. 

“No act of violence can ever come from the Kirikiri town people because we love peace and moreover we are reasonable” The Baale of Kirikiri Chief W.S Agunbiade town spoke to Kirikiri news in peace attestation.

Here are the results for the governorship/ House of assembly polls held in the 37 polling units in OLCDA (WARD D). This list was verified by unanimity coalition of records by INEC, Kirikiri News, Observers, APC agents, other party agents and PDP agents.

NO OF POLLING UNITS (WARD D) = 037
HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY 

PDP – 3415 VOTES
APC – 1537 VOTES

GOVERNORSHIP

APC – 1683 VOTES
PDP – 3376 VOTES

Other votes not recorded were either spoilt or plagued with improper thumb print.

“The people of Kirikiri town happen to be on the side of PDP party. Didn’t you see that we conquered Kirikiri town for Jonathan even if he didn’t win. We have done it again in Kirikiri town for Jimi Agbaje. Kirikiri town is a PDP area” A top PDP member ward D said in his celebration mode as he spoke to Kirikiri News.

“Well, Kirikiri town cannot decide who becomes governor in Lagos state; afterall it happened otherwise in the presidential election.” A top APC member expressed.
The question remains on the minds of the people, which party between PDP& APC will win the Ward D Councillorship seat?

However, after the polls have been officially announced in the state, APC governorship candidate Akinwunmi Ambode won the lagos seat while Hon. Akeem Bello won the Lagos House of Assembly seat to represent Amuwo Odofin Constituency II where Kirikiri town fall under along with some other areas. 

The people of Kirikiri town stormed the politicians family house to celebrate his victory over his APC candidate. there was a lot to eat and drink. Reports have it that the politician invited all Kirikiri town residents to celebrate his victory in the 2015 polls.

"Akeem don hammer" "Akeem life don change" "Akeem go soon park from kirikiri town" "Akeem go soon leave us" this and many other words came out from the lips of the celebrating supporters and well wishers but no one thought 

"WOULD HE REPRESENT US AND SPEAK OUT OUR NEEDS TO THE GOVERNMENT?"

Akeem Bello has a long history of political ambitions. having struggled to become a councillor for four times and failed yet he finally became elected in the house of assembly on his fifth and last trial.
