A borehole water project, once again
have been introduced into Kirikiri town but this project comes in a new
dimension and not to cite its exclusive technology.
This solar powered shaft plant is the
first of its kind in Kirikiri town. It doesn't require
electricity to run. Just
as the streetlights in Kirikiri town do not depend on regular power supply to
function. When the panel is charged by the sun, it switches itself on and pumps
water from the ground into the 5000 liter gallon which in turn discharges
portable water through the provided channels to the outlets where they can be
accessed.
This tank will supply water to Johnson Street
and Agunbiade Street simultaneously and since its solar powered water will run around-the-clock.
There are several individual and
government borehole water projects constructed in Kirikiri town. Some are
working well, some need servicing, some needs to penetrate deeper for the water
to be clean, while some are up and running. This one however, is the largest
and it promises to be efficient when fully completed and commissioned.
This project was executed by a member
of the House of Representative Hon. Ganiyu Olukolu. Kirikiri town appreciates his generosity.
The councilor of Kirikiri town, Hon.
Abari Ibrahim Ajibola was on ground to ensure that the workers which are
skilled professionals from Kirikiri town do a good job in the installation
process. They constructed underground pipes to connect all channels.
This progressive project is located in
an enclosed section inside the oldest school in Kirikiri town the Local
Authority Primary School which was built in 1955. The outlet on Johnson Street
will be close to the borehole project constructed by the present Councilor of
Kirikiri town, while the second will be some meters beside the gate of Local
Authority Primary School but still on its walls.
Upgrade from electrically powered
borehole system to solar powered borehole system. No doubt, Kirikiri town is
the best.
Our motto remains…Upgrading Standards.
