The residents of Kirikiri town are not
finding it hilarious after 3 weeks of power outage.
The power outage caused a controversy
as residents blame it on the only filling station in Kirikiri town. Many said
that they actually collaborated with the EKDCN officials to actually behave in
the manner in which they are. While others say that this dastardly act is directly
from the EKDCN.
In a brief talk with the SOT management
concerning the controversy, “This is absurd, how will an individual connive with
the authorities to punish his neighbor, you will just be handcuffed and
imprisoned” said Mr. Edward, a management staff of SOT filling station.
About 100,000 liters of PMS, DPK, and AGO
have been consumed in the past 3 weeks of power outage in Kirikiri town. This has
become a thriving market and business among the dealers of these products. The money
spent by residents on these products daily is what makes them feel the impact
of the outage and moreover such expenses wasn’t included in their budget
earlier but now, it has finally become their daily budget which tells on their
pocket.
When the EKDCN Kirikiri office was
visited, they made Kirikiri News understand that that office is only for sales,
marketing and accounts and all complaints should be extended to the Service Manager
at Berger Tokunbo.
Hopefully, something is being worked
out as the staff of EKDCN were found on Johnson street sharing bills and
announcing that there will be power soon.
