“Why
are you guys now on Cardoso Street, it was assumed that only tankers about to
lift oil product should be taxed and not already loaded?” asked Kirikiri news.
“We are
here because we want to ensure the maximum responsibility of our job as the
tax force members of the association” explained briefly by the C.D.A 1 (CSO) Mr. Yomi.
tax force members of the association” explained briefly by the C.D.A 1 (CSO) Mr. Yomi.
The tax
force team numbering about ten agile and well decorated men in their blue T-shirt
with a boldly written inscription at the back ‘tax force’ have set up their
temporary post with just a long bench and few single chairs at the wall of Deeper
Life Church on Cardoso street. During the evening when the sun is down they
move opposite and stay in front of a viewing center still on the same street.
The tax
force team also set up base at Karimu Street to ensure safety of trucks and to
ensure they pay their levies appropriately for the development of the community
but the same activity has been applied on Cardoso Street.
Karimu
and Cardoso Street are the two major roads in Kirikiri town. Empty tankers come
in through Karimu and after loading exit through Cardoso.
The
Kirikiri community development association tax forces apply a weekly shift
activity among the 3 CDA’s in the community. It runs like a cycle.
Our motto remains… Upgrading Standards.
