The Kirikiri town family way has an elongated history of a terrible and horrific road which has already made residents, visitors and people who work in Kirikiri town become

accustomed to its decimated condition.

Whenever you mention that road to anyone, a miasma cloud of discontent engulfs the mind then immediately curses and foul words directed to the Government begins to emanate from the individuals mouth.

Recently, heaps of concrete and granite were found lying on the road. Kirikiri news amassed that it was in a bid to refurbish the road which an underground drainage was constructed in November 2013 by Federal Road Maintenance Agency FERMA.

These heaps of stones scattered all over the place are the major cause of the frightful vehicular traffic in Kirikiri town and as an important road, empty articulated vehicles coming into the town, loaded articulated vehicles coming from the Depot, cars going to Navy town, residents coming from Maza-maza and those heading to Wilmer and Apapa are detained in that demoralizing traffic daily.

“Even if you sleep at night you will always picture that road in a bad condition, I can’t even imagine it tarred and we expect those who put those stones to come quickly to work” a resident expressed.
