SHE WAS ONLY 25

Education is mandatory in the society we young youths find ourselves today and it is believed that education is the key to success while many others seem to stand corrected but according to U.D Okechukwu, ‘Learning something new every minute may describe Education; every second might be impossible.’

She was only 25 years. Her sojourn on earth was luminously paced with extreme ambition and 

precision. She was no doubt anticipating an optimistic future that wasn’t contradictory to what like-minded youths trail. Her family background didn’t stop her desire to become a momentous individual neither did her friends instead every Tom, Dick, and Harry played a central character to make sure all was achieved.

On her part, she never frustrated efforts. Based on character and competence, and in a delightful graduation ceremony a Second Class Upper Division Bachelor of Science degree in Economics was awarded to the young woman dressed in her explicit graduating gown.

An abundant cloud fundamental excitement and overwhelming joy filled the atmosphere when family, friends and well-wishers gathered to celebrate a propelling achieved step to a success story.

In order to fortify herself for the challenges faced by young graduates in the open field of life’s severe playground, she went ahead of her peers to become a Member of the Institute of Chartered Economist of Nigeria and also a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

Strong, vibrant and focused on scoring her desired goal, her story of existence was cut short by a sudden brief illness which eventually made the world’s population short by one. This one youth who was described by her parents as the whole kit and caboodle of the family died yet unfulfilled but her friends uttered that her influence in their lives cannot be unable to call to mind even in her untimely passing.
