KIRIKIRI CDA HOSTS KIRIKIRI TOWN FAMILY TEAM

The presidents and executives of the Community Development Association (CDA) had their usual monthly meeting which they use as a medium to communicate among themselves, keep themselves and the community on a proper check and most

importantly, converse on pressing issues of concern.

Their slogan ‘forward ever, backward never’ is a certainly a progressive one as the members never fail to give a chorus ‘backward never’ response when anyone mentions ‘forward ever’.

This was a broad-minded meeting as the admin and team members of Kirikiri town family formerly became acquainted with the CDA in order to present an innovative idea on their table; the inkling of a debut newspaper called Kirikiri news with a motto, making everyone a celebrity. This notion was wholeheartedly welcomed by the CDA Presidents and Executives.

Although, the meeting started one hour after the scheduled time for the fact that some top key executive members were on their way to the venue, Red gate restaurant located at Karimu Street. An opening prayer by one of the executives was used to officially commence the meeting.

The admin of Kirikiri town family Okechukwu Uchechukwu Daniel explained softly the reason for the dialogue, “I and my team loves Kirikiri town so much, that is why this inkling was conceived at heart. We specialize and maintain a standard in publicizing Kirikiri town to the world at large and to promote love and unity among resident. We appreciate all we have witnessed and experienced while growing up in Kirikiri town and we want to make a positive blow that will result in alteration, enlightenment, and upgrade in all ramifications in our capacity. Our various platforms will be used to promote Kirikiri town. We shall achieve.” He said with so much passion.

“Kirikiri community is contributing a lot to the Oriade local government but it is not enjoying all benefit associated with its toiling” said one of the executives.

The president CDA3, Mr. Udoji encouraged the team members with ‘I-love-this’ form of words. He precisely expressed delight that it is in his time, such a wonderful work will take place and he pledged his support. “In 5 years’ time, anyone who leaves Kirikiri town and comes back will the amazed at what he shall see” he added. “Do not let Malachi (money) derail you from your actual mission and vision” he advised the team side-splittingly.

26 members were present in this meeting aside the 4 member emissaries of Kirikiri town family.

Mr. Bayo commended our motive and pledged his support. He also encouraged the team to be highly focused and not biased in their discharge of information and that the people of Kirikiri will not treat false publication as a love affair. Mr. Akintunde Akinola also warned against the influence of corruption in our motive. He added that the team should be very careful as the field is a large one. Mr. Omodele concurred with the innovation and Mr. Deji was happy and urged us to work as a team.

After much dialogue an understanding was achieved. Kirikiri news will definitely serve as a platform to continue the before now upgrading standards of Kirikiri town.
