CDA’S SLUGGISH REACTION TOWARDS ABANDONED LOWDECK

After the threat issued by the CDA Task force to report and drag the owner of the abandoned low-deck on Karimu road to the police. The low deck still remains stationary and well-adjusted on Karimu road. The shop owners and market women have blamed the CDA for its sluggish reaction towards its
removal.

“We think say by now them for don come commot this thing from here (We thought that by now this thing must have been removed from here)”said a turkey shop owner where the low deck lodged spoke to Kirikiri news.

A call was put through to the president of CDA who was busy at the moment. He sent a representative who told Kirikiri news that the CDA has searched for the man but couldn’t find him. He added that the CDA has reported the matter to the Kirikiri police station and that all measures are being put in place to ensure its removal.

“It is a huge material, we don’t have the resources in place to remove it, and if the CDA could carry it away with their hands we would have done that long time ago. The man could claim damages after its removal and we are pretty scared about that” explained Mr. Moses Kolawole who is a member of the CDA.

“We are not happy, our children cannot come here, people cannot pass, especially when tankers park beside the low deck or what is it called. It is dangerous” expressed a market woman.

This low deck causes huge traffic and is potential accident paraphernalia on Karimu road. It needs to be removed. The lowdeck has been used a waste dump site.
