BABA KIRIKIRI, BIGBLEND AND OTHER ARTISTS SEEN ONLY IN STREET JAM

Rising potential music stars such as Big blend, Baba Kirikiri, SOJ, Raw cash, Activities, Sololow, and a host of others have gone into their normal yearlong hibernation.

These artistes can only be seen performing in Street Jam /Street Carnival stages only at the end of the year. They call it giving back to the street but it seems like taking from the street. Although they are not paid for these functions, they delight and derive joy performing in them.

“Are they scared to compete in the music industry or are they scared that their music wouldn't sell in the market or what?” asked a foreign concerned fan who was present at one of the Carnivals at Karimu Street, Kirikiri town, Apapa, Lagos Nigeria.

“It is believed they have plans because this year’s Street Carnival will not entertain them performing an old song as usual” an organizer said.
